A wonderful restaurant with an amazing view overlooking the waterfront is a great place for couples with good food, friendly services, a tranquil setting, and affordable prices. It is located half way between Trang An and Mua cave.
Vietnamese food, vegetarian food and Western food is available. I would recommend eating goat meat as a Ninh Binh’s specialties, beef, papaya salad, buggers, pizzas and more

If you are here for food not for the view, you come to the right place. With options of Vietnamese, Western food. There is a ton of choices to choose from. The price is inexpensive.
An Tam Coc
I like its decoration of yellow color, the food, the service, everything. The price is a bit price than other restaurants in the Tam Coc area but worth it. The service might be a bit slow. If you are super hungry, don’t go.

Non-Nuoc mountain
A true hidden gem in Ninh Binh, not many tourists know about this place, where you can get a panoramic view of Ninh Binh City, the Day River, and the Van River from above.
You will be climbing 72 stone steps to reach its summit, which is 100 meters above sea level.
At the foot of the mountain is a 1000-year-old pagoda called Non Nuoc Pagoda.

If you are looking for a less touristy spot for a sampan boat trip in Ninh Binh, Van Long Wetland is a great choice. The beauty of limestone mountains is authentic. I loved the place. If you want to see langurs (a type of monkey), getting here is
Galaxy grotto
Galaxy Grotto Ninh Binh
A truly off-the-beaten track in Ninh Binh for a boat trip and dry cave visit. Take a leisurely sampan boat trip for 30 minutes to reach walking pathways and then take a short walk to the dry cave with colorful rock formations in various shapes
Then hop on another boat ride for 25 minutes to explore the wet cave. Then take another boat ride through Buddha cave. It’s dark so the boat rowers will give you a torch to see better stalactites and stalagmites in the cave.
Am Tien cave
There is a pagoda at the top of the mountain. To reach its peak, you need to climb 200 stone steps, offering a scenic view of the whole complex.
Don’t forget to double-bike ride around the lake, which most Vietnamese couples do. As a tourist, you may like to see the cats inside the cage on the left-hand side.
Cuc Phuong National Park

If your couple are nature lovers, Cuc Phuong National Park is the right place. Just a 1-hour drive from Ninh Binh. A few tourists are travelling here. Weekends might be a little bit busier because of Vietnamese tourists

Leisurely push bike ride along the hidden pathways of Tam Coc
Explore hidden rural pathways in Tam Coc, passing through local villages to see the rustic beauty of rice paddies, ducks, chickens, and local gardens. It is a great thing to do for couples in Ninh Binh. It is only for those who have time to explore it on their own.
You may encounter friendly locals and hidden corners, and see things you can’t see on the main road. The easier way is to take a guided tour and ask your guide to escort you on a bike ride along hidden village paths.

Mua viewpoint
A top Instagram spot in Ninh Binh,
Just 3 kilometres from Tam Coc, you can take a push bike ride from Tam Coc to get here, or hike 486 steps to reach its summit. I like the peak on the left-hand side with the panoramic view of mountains, rivers and rice fields.
If you are travelling during summertime, I recommend getting here about 6.30 am when it isn’t too busy, not too hot or late afternoon at 5 pm for sunset.
Please note that during the wintertime from December to the middle of April, it’s pretty misty and foggy so the view isn’t great.
I also recommend getting here during the lotus blooming season from late May to early July
Nightlife in Ninh Binh for couples
Tam Coc is the best spot for couples’ nightlife in Ninh Binh. There are lots of restaurants, bars, and cafes. I do like having a couple of cocktails on the “bar bus”
Or chilling out with a couple of beers at Chookie Garden, an open-space beer garden. A nice, relaxing place for couples to have some beers, snacks and fast food
If you want a place to visit, “Pho Co Hoa Lu”, aka Hoa Lu ancient town, with colourful lights, lanterns, and shining pagodas. Taking a leisurely boat ride for around 6 USD per person is a great thing to do in the Hoa Lu ancient town. There are a couple of places to enjoy coffee, have cream and snacks. Not a good option for a proper meal. You need to go to Ninh Binh city, which has more tourist-friendly restaurants.

Another great resort to relax and enjoy your honeymoon vacation because it is located near Van Long in a tranquil setting, far from the main tourist hub in Ninh Binh. You can take a guided tour to explore Ninh Binh because it’s too far to get around by push bike. But If you know how to ride a scooter, then go for it.
