Itinerary of North Vietnam school tour

Day 1 : Arrive Hanoi.  Hanoi walking food tour (Dinner) 

Hanoi is known as the capital city of Vietnam, one of the most charming cities in Asia, famous for its rich history, fascinating culture and excellent local food. 

Arrive at Noi Bai airport, meet our guide and transfer to the city center, check in your hotel and take a short rest. 6pm, hit the road and try out signature dishes of Hanoi in this  Hanoi street food tour. We will learn in-depth about Vietnamese food culture, behind the scene stories, ingredients and more. We walk from places to places and try out top street foods in Hanoi. Sample menu includes: Pho soup, Dry beef salad, Egg coffee and Banh Cuon…

Day 2 : Hanoi city tour (Lunch) 

Start your day by exploring the new part of Hanoi which most of the tourist don’t goes and see local living of Hanoi.  You also see flowers, plants, bonsais selling along the street side. 

Pay a visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum – the final resting place of President Ho Chi Minh – the great leader of Vietnam. 
Check out Temple of Literature, knowns as the first national university of Vietnam dated back from 1076, as well as a temple dedicated to Confucious.

Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. 

Visit  Hanoi Hilton, made famous during the Vietnam War as the POW prison where John McCain was held, as well as the place for Vietnamese political prisioners during the French war

A trip to Hanoi wont be completed without a visit to famous train street where you can have a sip of coffee and watch the train going pass.

Our final stop in the French Quarter of Hanoi to see outside of the well-known Hanoi Opera house, learn about French architecture in Hanoi. 

Day 3 : Hanoi – Ninh Binh – Van Long nature reserve – Hoa Lu ancient capital 

8.00am : Our teacher and tour guide will meet at your hotel after breakfast, take two and a half hour’s drive to Ninh Binh – known as Halong Bay on land, on the way, stop for a toilet and coffee break for 20 minutes. Arrive at Van Long, pay a visit to a three-generation Vietnamese family, have a sip of green tea and talk with them about their local lives and culture

Taking a 1-hour bike ride through village roads, keep riding along the local dykes with stunning view of limestone karsts mountain, rice paddies and waterway, rivers and rice fields.

Having lunch in a local restaurant and enjoy local specialities :  rice crackers,  Goat meat and more. Then take a  sampan boat ride to discover Van Long nature reserve for over one and  a half hour through caves. Van Long is less touristy than Trang An and Tam Coc. You may see a monkey if you are lucky. 

Next,visit a local craftsman workshop to learn how to gain hands-on experience on hand embroidery. Our host will show you how to do it steps by steps. 

Then our final stop is Hoa Lu ancient capital, dated back to the 10th century, see temples worshipping two kings: Dinh and Le.

Then head back to your hotel in Tam Coc and rest. 

Day 4 :  Bear Sanctuary – Cuc Phuong national park 

After breakfast, take a short drive for 1 hour to Bear Sanctuary, Founded by FOUR PAWS, the center is a new home

to bears rescued from bile farming 

Next, visit the Cuc Phuong national park – the first national jungle of Vietnam. First, start trekking 2 hours h through the forest to learn about the diverse flora and fauna of the park. – You’ll also make stops at Cho Chi, the oldest tree in the forest, and several picturesque streams along the way

We’ll have late lunch around 1 pm (please bring snacks, fruits, and bottled water)

After lunch, return to the park center to see the Endangered Primate Rescue Center and Turtle Conservation Center before taking the bus back to your hotel in Ninh Binh. 

Day 5 : Ninh Binh – Halong on an overnight cruise 

7.30am : Leave Ninh Binh for 3.5 hours drive, including 20 minute stop over on the way

11.30am : Arrive to Tuan Chau Harbor.

12h30: Welcome drink will be served and listen to our tour guide about safety instructions and guidelines. Check- in cabin. 

13h00: Set sail and cruise the amazing Halong Bay with tons of towering limestone cliffs

Checking out the Surprising cave – the most famous cave in Halong. 

16h00: Beach time. The boat arrive at Tittov Island. You can choose to hike to enjoy 360-degree viewpoint of Halong Bay or sit back, relax or go swimming

Back to the boat for a shower. It is time to relax on sundeck, 

18h00: Join a mini cooking class to learn how to make Vietnamese spring roll. 

Evening Relaxing:

19h00: Enjoy your dinner, enjoy the view of the bay

Free time for squid fishing, karaoke singing. 

Stay overnight on board

DAY 6: HALONG BAY – PEARL FARM VISITING – KAYAKING – HANOI (B/ L)

6h00: If you are an early bird, wake up in the early morning to enjoy the view of the bay and sunrise from the top deck

7h00: Buffet breakfast served with tea and coffee

8:00: Take a bamboo boat ride or kayaking to explore Luon cave

9:30 – 10:00: Check out and clear the bill

10h45: Lunch will be served whist cruising back the Harbour. 

12h00: Disembark and back to your hotel. Free and easy. 

Day 7 : Hanoi countryside day tour : Farming, Biking and Local market visit 

Leave your hotel for a short drive of 45 minutes to rural Hanoi. 

Check out a local wet market

Enjoy farming works: Preparing soil, watering

Visit a local farm : fish pond, garden and animal stock

Enjoy authentic Vietnamese lunch

Check out a mushroom farm. 

Then heading to Noi Bai airport. North Vietnam school trips ends.
