9am : Our guide and driver greet you at the hotel in the Mai Chau area and drive 1 hour to Bang village (located in Pu Luong area) to start our trekking day tour of Pu Luong. We start trekking through concrete pathways to reach Kho Muong area. Then we walk along the foot of the mountains, you can see lush green rice paddy fields (from Feb to April, July to Sept) and family-owned fish ponds.
You’ll pay a visit to a local family of black Thai who live in a house on stilt and still raise ducks, and chickens under their houses, we can also learn about their day-to-day activities by interacting with them. You’ll also see brocade hand-weaving by Thai women and try the hands-on experience of weaving like them. They are making crafts and pillows. you can also buy some of the products to support them (if you want to)
With warm hospitality by locals, you may enjoy a cup of natural herbal tea that grows 700 to 1000 meters above sea leave which helps you sleep well, releasing leg exhaustion and muscle pain.
You will have a picnic lunch at a hut, outdoors.
After lunch, another trek for 20 minutes or half an hour to see the car. Transfer back to Mai Chau after 2 hours drive. The Pu Luong Mai Chau trekking day tour off the beaten track ends around 4 pm
